Special Education Resource Teacher - 2026-27 School Year

About the role

This position is for an Elementary Special Education Resource Teacher for the entire 2026-27 school year. The step on the salary schedule for all new hires is Step 1. The workday is from 8:20 am to 3:50 pm, and there are 10 sick and 3 personal days (pro-rated based on start).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students with special needs in small groups or one-on-one settings.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, other special education staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
