Special Education Program Supervisor

About the role

Aid in overseeing and promoting a Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions program—specifically special education classrooms work. Provide supervision to professionals and instructional assistants and Registered Behavior Technicians to achieve educational, social, and emotional goals, as well as transition and employment goals for students, and professional development for staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Special Education Autism Support Classroom Programs
• Serve as Supervisor of Special Education, Pupil Services, Principal, or Education Administrator
• Collaborate with Operations and District Leadership
• Maintain Compliance and Operational Efficiency
• Develop and Manage Projects
• Design and Deliver Training for Educators and Staff
• Evaluate Outcomes and Create Implementation Resources
• Foster a Culture of Servant Leadership

Requirements

• Must be 21+
• Valid Drivers License
• Master’s Degree in Special Education or Related Field
• PA Department of Education Certification as a Supervisor of Special Education, Pupil Services, Principal, or Education Administrator
• At Least Five Years (Two of Which Must Be in Leadership Capacity) Experience in an Educational Setting Working with Individuals with Autism and/or Other Special Education Populations

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PDE, IDEA, and Chapter 14 Regulations
• Competency in IEPs, Positive Behavior Support Strategies, Classroom Management, and MTSS/PBISI
• Successful Relationships with Education-Based Agencies at State and Local Levels, Supervisees, Consultees in Programs, and Colleagues in Education Services Division
