Special Education Paraprofessional (Temporary Assignment)

Temporary assignment for the 2026-27 school year (10-month calendar). Schedule: 6.75 hours/day, 8:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

About the District

District 196 is a Minnesota public school district of choice, serving more than 29,000 students and 160,000 residents in Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan, Burnsville, Coates, Empire, Inver Grove Heights, Lakeville, and Vermillion Township. The district operates 20 elementary schools (grades K-5), six middle schools (grades 6-8), four high schools (grades 9-12), an optional School of Environmental Studies for juniors and seniors, an Area Learning Center high school program, a K-12 special education school, and a special education program for young adults ages 18-22. District 196 also provides early childhood and Adult Basic Education services, along with extensive community education programs for learners of all ages.

Pay

Compensation is based on the RAVE Clerical Association contractual agreement for Wage Group V (2026-27 contract). Hourly rates:

• Step 1: $22.01/hour
• Step 2: $23.36/hour
• Step 3: $24.69/hour

Paraprofessionals receive an additional $1.00 per hour differential above their base rate.
