Special Education Paraprofessional - Life Skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and instruction of students
• Work closely with students who are medically fragile
• Under the supervision of a certified teacher, work with individual and/or small groups of students in a classroom
• Monitor students in a variety of settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria, library, etc.)

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Job‑related experience is desired

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Meet the minimum requirement for a paraprofessional: hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college/university, or have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100‑level or higher at an accredited college/university, or have passed the state paraeducator assessment

Pay

Salary: $19.25 – $25.27 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule

Working days: 5 days per week
Hours per day: 6.5 hours
