About the Role
This position supports special education students within the Farmington STEAM Academy, focusing on the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) program.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to students under the direction of certified special education staff
- Assist with implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students with behavioral and academic needs in both individual and group settings
- Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Paraprofessional certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe
- Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Physical ability to assist with student mobility and personal care needs as required
Schedule
Position begins August 18, 2026. Full-time, school-year calendar following the Farmington Public Schools academic schedule.
Pay
Compensation per the district's paraprofessional salary schedule.
