About the role

The special education paraprofessional will support students with autism spectrum disorder at Wood Creek Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support classroom teachers in providing a structured learning environment
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students with autism spectrum disorder
• Help implement behavior intervention plans
• Collaborate with other special education staff and families

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
• Current certification as a special education paraprofessional
• Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder preferred

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and effective strategies for supporting students
