Department Overview

The Branch ISD Special Education Department serves students from pre‑K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments. It works closely with local schools in Branch County to provide instructional services, hearing and vision services, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. Job Summary

The employee reports to the assigned teacher and supports students in the classroom based on their level of disability. The role requires high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion of work, along with a pleasant, professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and an outgoing personality. Confidentiality must be maintained, and the employee should be willing to engage in professional development when requested by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students with disabilities according to their individualized needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and activities.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate a pleasant and professional demeanor with students, staff, and families.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding student information.
• Participate in professional development opportunities as directed by the supervisor.

Pay
