About the role
The PALS Special Education Instructional Assistant will work closely with the Special Education Teacher and classroom team to implement individualized supports and services outlined in students' IEPs. This includes providing academic, behavioral, and functional support; assisting with personal care needs; and maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the team.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized supports and services outlined in students' IEPs
- Provide academic, behavioral, and functional support
- Assist with personal care needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the team
- Work closely with the Special Education Teacher and classroom team
- Support students with disabilities in growing academically, socially, and emotionally
- Play a key role in helping students with disabilities grow academically, socially, and emotionally
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to complete or already hold CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications
- Two years of college credit, an associate's degree, or the ability to pass the district's assessment in reading, writing, and math
- Valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation

- $18.87-$26.85 per hour, depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position
