About the role
SUPPORT CENTER provides services in academic instruction to students with a variety of disabilities ranging from severe to profound. Instruction includes academic subjects and modified curriculum which may include functional academics, daily living skills, prevocational/vocational skills, behavior skills, and social skills.
Responsibilities
- Ride the bus to support center
- May work primarily with one student
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One of the following conditions met:
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher from an accredited college or university
- ParaPro Assessment score of 455 or higher
- Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment score of 220 or higher
- Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program score of 65%
- Completed apprenticeship as a paraeducator in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council
Qualifications
Candidates must upload documentation verifying that they meet the stated requirements to be considered for employment. This includes providing a copy of an official college transcript or a passing score in one of the following assessments: Education Testing Service ParaPro Assessment, Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment, Master Teacher Inc. Paraprofessional Online Training Program. If submitting an assessment score, proof of a high school diploma or its equivalent must also be provided.
