Special Education Classroom Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our elementary (3rd-5th) team for the 2026-27 school year. While our current opening is for upper elementary (3-5), we may expand the special education team to include middle and early childhood roles as well.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with district and state regulations.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Missouri Certification in Special Education.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A desire to teach using project-based learning.
- A desire to build relationships with students and team members.
- A desire to be creative, curious, and teach lessons using project-based learning.
- A desire to teach the whole child, including social and emotional development.

Pay
Starting salary for certified educators is $60,000 or more, based on experience.
