Special Education Case Manager for the 2026-2027 School Year - Caesar Rodney Countywide Programs

This is a full-time, 10-month Case Manager position at Caesar Rodney Countywide Programs for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the Role

The Case Manager will provide support in developing and sustaining high levels of student achievement, teacher quality, and parent engagement opportunities to foster a positive school learning environment for all students, teachers, and parents. Individuals who are eligible or possess Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities and Autism certification are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a minimum of 5 years teaching experience, preferably in special education.
• Possess or be eligible for Delaware teaching certification (Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Grades K-12) and Teacher of Students with Autism or Students with Severe Intellectual Disabilities certifications required).
• Must meet State of Delaware certification requirements for Special Education.
• Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out-of-state teaching license.
• Must possess strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule IEP annual, evaluation, and parent/administration requested IEP Team meetings.
• Serve as an administrator/designee to conduct IEP meetings as well as other duties as assigned by Administration.
• Ensure IEP compliance with dates, scheduling/timelines, funding needs, Indicator 13, as well as best practices for IEP development.
• Coordinate and support the scheduling of all special services listed on student IEPs.
• Support teachers across content areas (curriculum, instruction, data collection, and classroom environment).
• Facilitate parent involvement/family engagement activities at the Countywide Programs.
• Collaborate with the Administrative team to design and lead professional development sessions for staff.
• Serve as a resource person to assist in supporting district initiatives as they pertain to the Countywide Programs.
• Collaborate with other building case managers and district-level staff to ensure vertical articulation of best practices in special education.
• Support administration in processing referrals, intake meetings, and providing historical information for new students.
• Attend in- and out-of-district IEP Team meetings as a CRCWP representative.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Provide official transcripts (if applicable), an updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
• Submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
• Provide proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
