High School Special Education Case Manager for the 2026-2027 School Year

About the role

New Foundations Charter School is seeking a full-time HS Special Education Case Manager for the 2026-2027 school year. Successful candidates will have at least 2 years of previous successful experience working with diverse student populations, appropriate PA certification or a clear pathway towards certification, ability to work well individually and as part of a team, a willingness to engage in instructional support, and the ability to maintain/write individual education plans.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with students, families, and other school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Support students in achieving their educational goals through collaboration with teachers and other service providers.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and IEPs.
• Participate in regular meetings with the special education team to discuss student progress and plan interventions.
• Provide direct support to students, including behavior management and academic assistance.
• Collaborate with families to ensure effective communication and support for students' needs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous successful experience working with diverse student populations.
• Appropriate PA certification or a clear pathway towards certification.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
• A willingness to engage in instructional support.
• Ability to maintain/write individual education plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience working with adolescents and young adults.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania state special education laws and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
