Special Education Behavior Technician

About the role
The Special Education Behavior Technician will support students with special needs by implementing behavior intervention plans, providing individualized instruction, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure the success of each student.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans for students with special needs
- Provide individualized instruction to support student learning
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes
- Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher or Behavior Technician
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for behavior intervention
- Experience with data collection and analysis
- Understanding of the Utah State Core Curriculum
