About the role

Provide an enriched atmosphere where students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society. Facilitate learning and guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups of students with identified significant needs.
• Provide student-specific personal care and support.
• Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, and sanitizing equipment and materials.
• Respond quickly to student needs, including physical support and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Regular attendance is required. Duties may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• AA degree or 48 semester hours, or passing scores on WorkKeys exam.
• Ability to sit for long periods, move quickly, and maintain visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity.
• Upper body strength with the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a desire to work in a team setting.
• Previous experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI training (provided).
• CPR/First Aid certification (provided).
• Paraprofessional experience.
• Bilingual skills.

Pay

$20.51 per hour plus benefits. Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $23.85 per hour plus benefits.

Schedule

2026-2027 school year, 182 days.
