Special Education Assistant (MAB, 2 Positions), Dos Rios Elementary School

Salary: $20.51 per hour plus benefits (Range 19). Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $32.85 per hour plus benefits.

Contract Length/Days: 2026-2027 school year, 182 days.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups of students with identified significant needs.
• Provide student-specific personal care and support.
• Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, and sanitizing equipment and materials.
• Ability to sit for long periods, respond quickly to student needs, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• AA degree or 48 semester hours, or passing scores on WorkKeys exam.
• Preferred: CPI training (provided), CPR/First Aid certification (provided).
• Previous experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs.
• Strong verbal communication skills, ability to move quickly in response to student needs, and desire to work in a team setting.
• Upper body strength with the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Paraprofessional experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
