About the Role
This position will be working exclusively in the CTE manufacturing and wood-working programs. Comfortability working with welders, power tools, saws, and other equipment is a necessity for this position.
Under direct teacher supervision, performs a variety of tasks assisting a teacher in the development of an instructional program by working with students individually or in small groups. Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and conducts planned activities using teacher-designated methods and materials. In addition, provides assistance for the physically and intellectually disabled, learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, and other students with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist teacher in developing and implementing instructional programs.
- Work with students individually or in small groups under teacher supervision.
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain classroom discipline.
- Conduct planned activities using designated methods and materials.
- Provide assistance to students with physical, intellectual, learning, or emotional disabilities.
- Operate and maintain CTE shop equipment, including welders, power tools, and saws.
Pay
$17.61 - $21.69 per hour (25/26 rate).
Schedule
4 hours per day, 181 days per year (9-month secondary CTE shop assignment).
