Special Education Aides - Resource/In-Class Support

Memorial Elementary School – 10-month, 5.75-hour-per-day position for the 2026-2027 school year. Non-affiliated role; not eligible for benefits.

About the Role

Assist the principal and/or teachers in maintaining a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment where students can take full advantage of the instructional program and resource materials.

Responsibilities

• Support in-class and resource-room special-education settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to work effectively with school-aged children.
• Demonstrated interest in education and students.
• New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate.
• Successful completion of controlled-substance testing and criminal-history background check.

Pay

Hourly rate based on prior school-based experience and position category:

• Resource and In-Class Support: $19.60–$22.45 per hour.
