Elementary Teacher of Students with Disabilities Resource Room and In-Class Support

Effective August 26, 2026 through June 30, 2027 – 10-month, full-time tenure-track position. Eligible for health insurance benefits under the negotiated Agreement between the Educational Association of Paramus (EAP) and the Board of Education.

About the Role

Provide an approved elementary education program and establish a classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth. Help students develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to provide a strong foundation for continued education while maintaining positive relationships with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver resource-room and in-class support for students with disabilities at Stony Lane Elementary School.
• Implement individualized education plans and instructional strategies tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success.

Requirements

• New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification.
• New Jersey Elementary K-6 certification.
• New Jersey residency or willingness to relocate.
• Successful completion of controlled substance testing and criminal history background check.

Pay

Starting salary of $57,547.00, with placement on the EAP Salary Guide based on experience and qualifications.
