About the role

Under the direction of a credentialed Special Education Teacher, site administrator, or designated supervisor, the Special Education Paraprofessional Aide II provides instructional, behavioral, and personal support to students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings. The position assists in implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, supporting student access to instruction, promoting independence, and facilitating student participation in classroom and school activities. The Special Education Paraprofessional Aide II works collaboratively with teachers, related service providers, and school staff to provide individualized assistance to students with diverse learning, behavioral, communication, and physical needs.

Responsibilities

• Support academic instruction
• Reinforce positive behavior strategies
• Assist with classroom organization
• Collect student data
• Supervise students in various school environments
• Provide personal care or health-related support as needed within established guidelines and training

The position requires the ability to support students in achieving greater independence, participate as an effective member of an educational team, and adapt to the unique needs of individual learners.

Pay

Pay Range: $19.60 - $23.89 Per Hour

Five step salary schedule; Salary placement dependent on relevant experience
