Special Education Aide

About the role

Carepool is building a transportation platform that helps people with disabilities get to work and integrate into their communities. As a Healthcare Driver you will use your own car (or a partner’s vehicle) on a project basis to provide consistent rides, build trusting relationships, and make a difference for riders who may be scheduled daily or weekly.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities.
• Build and maintain trusting, consistent relationships with riders, often on a daily or weekly schedule.
• Partner with other drivers to ensure coverage of rides across the Fox Valley rideshare network.
• Maintain safe and secure transport standards for all passengers.

Requirements

• Excellent personality with the ability to read people and solve problems.
• 100% clean driving record (minor tickets acceptable).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
• Preferred: experience helping others or any healthcare‑specific experience.
• Preferred: 1‑year professional driving experience.
