Special Education Academic Coach II

Job Summary The Special Education Academic Coach II is responsible for ensuring that students with diverse needs have access to our general education curriculum. Special Education Academic Coaches are essential to maintaining our low student-teacher ratio and ensuring all students get the individualized attention requisite for success. Duties Include Assist teachers by working with individual students with mild/moderate behavioral or academic needs on a one-to-one basis 1:1 duties may include but are not limited topossible light toileting and hygiene supportattending to student basic health and safety needsimplementation of a behavior intervention plan1:1 support provided in various settingsmonitoring mild to moderate medical needsAssist with the instruction and supervision of students who may have learning differencesAssist with tutorial activities working with an individual or group of students who may have learning differencesMonitor student progress and provide input for evaluation using provided templates / resourcesEstablish rapport and meaningful relationships with referred students to assist in improving theirbehavior, educational performance, and social relationshipsPerform clerical support duties including typing, completing documents, forms, record, correspondence; which may include note taking for students
