About the role
Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with special needs. Transferring/lifting of students may be required. Preferred candidate will have experience working with special needs students.
Requirements
To work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree, or
- An Associates Degree, or
- 60+ credits of post-secondary education, or
- A passing score on the ParaPro Exam.
Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college/university or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report.
Schedule
- 6.25 hours per day, Monday - Friday (student contact days)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay
Starting rate is $21.00 per hour.
