Special Ed Lead Teacher
About the role
Seeking Special Ed Lead Teacher, working in Neshaminy Public School District. Interviewing for fall 2026, position starts 08/19/26.
Responsibilities
- Support a Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions program—specifically special education classrooms;
- provides supervision and coaching to program teachers that will result in the achievement of the educational, social, and emotional, as well as the transition and employment goals of the students, and the professional development of the staff.
- Includes supporting the development, maintaining, and evaluating the range of direct and support services provided to students in elementary school.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in special education or related field required.
- PA Department of Education certification as teacher (Level 1 or 2) required.
- At least three years of experience in an educational setting working with individuals with autism and/or other special education populations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Requires ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
- Significant and frequent amounts of walking, standing and lifting of 10 lbs. or more is required.
- Must be able to present through verbal and written communication, as well as develop visual media.
- Travel required as needs dictate.
- Requires repetitive use of wrists/hands/legs, including long periods of time operating office equipment.

Schedule
M-F: 8-4pm: This position is aligned with the school calendar and is a full-time role covering a 10-month period and opportunities for extended school year program in summer break.
Pay
$62,000-$72,000
