About the role

An experienced civil litigation attorney is needed for the Columbia office of a distinguished Carolina litigation firm. The firm handles sophisticated litigation matters for high-profile insurance carriers and corporate clients, including construction litigation, trucking and transportation, products liability, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse cases from inception through resolution
• Conduct substantive discovery and depositions
• Develop winning case strategies
• Draft persuasive motions and briefs
• Represent clients in state and federal courts
• Conduct legal research
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• 4+ years of litigation experience (insurance defense, commercial litigation, professional liability, or construction defect experience preferred)
• Exceptional research and writing capabilities
• Demonstrated courtroom presence and deposition experience
• A South Carolina bar membership
