About the role

An established regional Carolina firm seeks an experienced civil litigation attorney for their Columbia office. This firm is known for their exceptional legal work and collegial culture, handling sophisticated litigation matters for high-profile insurance carriers and corporate clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse cases from inception through resolution
• Conduct substantive discovery and depositions
• Develop winning case strategies
• Draft persuasive motions and briefs
• Represent clients in state and federal courts
• Conduct legal research
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• 4+ years of litigation experience (insurance defense, commercial litigation, professional liability, or construction defect experience preferred)
• Exceptional research and writing capabilities
• Demonstrated courtroom presence and deposition experience
• A South Carolina bar membership

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for civil litigation

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
