Special Attendant - Full Time

About the role

This position involves providing personal care and patient assistance, including hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, dressing, grooming, and physical transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, shaving, oral hygiene, and care of personal devices such as hearing aids and prosthetics.
• Perform bed making, skin and nail care, and prevent pressure ulcers.
• Support with toileting, catheter care, nutrition, fluid intake, and safe ambulation.
• Ensure proper positioning and comfort of patients.

Qualifications

• Emotionally stable, mature, with interest and empathy.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Minimum of six months experience in direct client care, including personal assistance services or similar settings.
• Listed as a nurse aide on the Texas Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry in good standing.

Skills

Does not require CNA license.

Schedule

Full-time or PRN schedules available. Travel within 60 miles is required.
