Special Assets Portfolio Manager

Responsibilities

• Manages portfolio assets and underwrites loans
• Works with existing clients and Workout Liquidation Officers
• Facilitates credit underwriting for modifications and extensions
• Reviews and clears past dues, exceptions, and loan advances
• Assists with workouts and liquidations
• Underwrites credit modifications and extensions
• Prepares LMM’s for workout officers
• Orders credit requests and prepares analysis, spreads, and credit reports
• Maintains loan collateral and ensures its perfection
• Monitors and maintains portfolio performance
• Renews all credit facilities
• Contacts borrowers, prepares approval memos, and assembles approval packages
• Creates default, acceleration, demand, and set-off letters
• Collects information, prepares term sheets, and coordinates with third parties
• Coordinates with workout officers on past dues, exceptions, overdrafts, and borrowing bases
• Prepares Quarterly MCRC Reports
• Participates in phone calls with existing clients
• Supports Portfolio Administrator in workout officer tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Finance, or related field
• Formal or in-house credit training
• 3 years commercial credit or analysis experience
• 3 years experience in portfolio management and commercial underwriting
• Structuring and pricing loan transactions experience
• Evaluation of commercial credit risk and understanding of commercial loan documents
• Proficiency in evaluating commercial credit risk
• Autonomous work ability with minimal oversight
• Knowledge of Bank Loan Documentation and Management Systems
• Understanding of all aspects of commercial loan documents
• Intermediate skill level in MS Office products

Preferences

• Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) or MBA

Pay

The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $91,972.00 to $151,186.80. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.
