About the role
The Special Assets Officer will primarily assist with lower-stage real estate collections while providing exceptional member service and supporting additional clerical and administrative needs as assigned. This is a temporary, part-time position anticipated to last from September 7, 2026 through January 31, 2027, working Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Assist with lower-stage real estate collections and member outreach
- Provide empathetic, professional, and member-focused service when discussing sensitive financial circumstances
- Complete clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
- Work across multiple computer systems and Microsoft applications
- Maintain accurate records and documentation while following compliance requirements
- Balance productivity and accuracy when managing detail-oriented work
- Support the Special Assets Department with additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in collections, customer service, financial services, credit unions, or contact centers preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications
- Ability to navigate and work across multiple systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and empathy
- Comfortable working in a compliance-focused environment
Pay
$24.32/hour
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
