About the role

The Special Assets Officer will primarily assist with lower-stage real estate collections while providing exceptional member service and supporting additional clerical and administrative needs as assigned. This is a temporary, part-time position anticipated to last from September 7, 2026 through January 31, 2027, working Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with lower-stage real estate collections and member outreach
  • Provide empathetic, professional, and member-focused service when discussing sensitive financial circumstances
  • Complete clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
  • Work across multiple computer systems and Microsoft applications
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation while following compliance requirements
  • Balance productivity and accuracy when managing detail-oriented work
  • Support the Special Assets Department with additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in collections, customer service, financial services, credit unions, or contact centers preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications
  • Ability to navigate and work across multiple systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and empathy
  • Comfortable working in a compliance-focused environment

Pay

$24.32/hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
