Qualifications

• Independent fractional CTO and embedded technical partner practice — architecture, team leadership, and pragmatic AI integration for founder-led startups. Practice concluded July 2026 with the transition to a full-time senior engineering role

• Two-sided marketplace connecting senior software professionals with development teams that needed flexible capacity — and, in practice, a distributed-engineering operation I ran for years before fully-remote teams were the norm. Brand wound down in May 2026, but the work didn't stop — many long-running client relationships that originated through After5 continue today under the Fractional CTO practice
• Co-led the multi-year platform transformation — three parallel migrations running together under live production load, without service interruption: Extracted 8 Laravel microservices including auth (JWT + OAuth), courses (Vue + Nuxt SSR), e-commerce (NetSuite integration), multi-engine search (Algolia + Elasticsearch), and a public API platform serving iOS, Android, Apple TV, and Roku apps. Authored the zero-downtime deployment system. Retained as part-time contractor for 3.5 years at Spear's request to ensure continuity
• Consulting and contracting vehicle for a decade of independent software work — custom development, architecture, and AWS engagements for entrepreneurs, startups, and growing businesses across martech, lead generation, fintech, education, and SaaS. Brand retired in 2021 when client relationships transitioned onto the WebsitesPros platform model; MIHV continues today as the active legal entity behind the Fractional CTO practice
• Financial-services lead marketplace. Bootstrapped from zero to ~$10M peak annual revenue without outside funding. Pioneered real-time ping-post bidding and multi-step micro-form widgets — both later became industry standard. Acquired in July 2010 by LeadPile's largest financial-services advertiser-client
• Lead developer for a proprietary lead-management system used daily by 50+ loan officers. Built and maintained the platform supporting the company's loan origination operations
