About the Role

The SPC Printing Coating Operator ensures lacquer machines perform correctly.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and routine machine maintenance (daily, weekly, and monthly)
• Start up and shut down of lacquer machines
• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.)
• Verify coating weights
• Verify adhesion to the substrate
• Use tools to measure UV energy
• Perform standard abrasion tests
• Identify defects and perform necessary corrective tasks
• Maintain lacquer levels in the machines

Performance Expectations

• Lifting tools and parts weighing 1 to 100 pounds
• Standing and climbing on and off lift trucks
• Bending to pick up parts and tools multiple times daily
• Occasionally climbing, balancing, and kneeling

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods
• Ability to work in tight spaces
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects of 50+ pounds
