Spanish Translator Mid Shift

Hours: 2:40pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Pay

All-in hourly compensation: $23.58/hr

• Base Pay: $21.09/hr
• Sign-on Bonus: $1.22/hr worked
• 6% Shift Differential for Mid Shift: $1.27/hr

Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment ($7.7 Million in Profits Paid to Profit Sharing Pool in 2025)

About the role

We’re hiring a Mid Shift Translator to translate between Spanish-speaking staff and English-speaking staff. This role assists managers, supervisors, trainers, quality control, and operators with communication and training of Spanish-speaking workers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees are given the opportunity to give and receive good communication with others.
• Act as the go-to person if Spanish-speaking workers have any questions.
• Assist Production Supervisor in providing Spanish-speaking employees with job descriptions, training checklists, and any other work aids needed during the training process.
• Work with Spanish-speaking staff daily to educate them on procedures and policies affecting both the employee and the product, following designated training checklist forms.
• Report the progress of Spanish-speaking employees to the Production Supervisor and address any areas of concern directly with the employee.
• Work with Production Supervisor to train all required trainings in IFS.
• Assist Production Supervisor in scheduling supplemental trainings (e.g., Forklift, Scissor Lift, Electric Pallet Jack).
• Attend Translator meetings for updates on training, procedures, and policies.
• Assist or perform group meetings in Spanish to cover items discussed in English meetings.

Requirements

• Attend safety trainings.
• Follow all safety instructions.
• Report any injuries or near-miss accidents to supervisor.
• Report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor.
• Wear required PPE, including hearing protection and slip-resistant shoes where necessary.
• Make safety recommendations to any Safety Committee Member.
