About the role

The ideal candidate will create a learning environment that challenges students at all ability levels and encourages inquiry, collaboration, and creativity in the target language.

Responsibilities

• Integrate technology into classroom activities
• Differentiate instruction
• Effectively utilize formative and summative assessments
• Use data to inform instruction
• Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum maps and state standards for content areas

Qualifications

• Certified teacher in the state of Indiana or Instructor acceptable to Higher Learning Commission
• Ability and the desire to teach Dual Credit preferred
• Major or minor in the target language, with specific teaching assignment to be determined based on need
• PREFERRED: Ability to teach different levels of based on need
• Study abroad experience preferred
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Degree required in the area of specialty
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
• SPECIAL CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO THOSE WITH A MASTER'S DEGREE IN THE CONTENT AREA
