About the role
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will provide instruction in Spanish to students in grades 7-12 at Cheektowaga Central High School.
Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish language and culture to students in grades 7-12
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with state standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in professional development activities
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment
Requirements
- Valid New York State teaching certificate in Spanish 7-12 (5150)
- Strong knowledge of Spanish language and culture
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- At least one year of teaching experience
- Pass a background check

Pay
The salary range for this position is from $45,800 to $57,000 per year, competitive with current market rates.
