Spanish Teacher
About the Role
La Lumiere School is excited to welcome applications for the position of Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school Spanish, likely at various levels, as well as working with students outside of the classroom. They should be passionate about igniting students' interest in exploring the world around them through languages. In the World Languages Department, we focus on meeting students where they are, differentiating instruction effectively, and supporting students' academic and personal growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach 4 sections of classes each semester (2 preps)
- Support ELL students
- Sponsor/supervise a co-curricular activity during two seasons
- Serve as an advisor to a group of approximately eight students
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the relevant academic discipline. Master's degree preferred.
- Three or more years of teaching experience at the secondary level preferred
- Experience working with students outside of the classroom through coaching, mentorship, or other activities preferred
