About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
  • Provide support and encouragement to children with autism and their families.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Passionate about helping children with autism.
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
  • Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
  • Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Qualifications

  • Experience with evidence-based behavioral interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for supporting individuals with autism.

Skills

  • Strong observational and assessment skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay

Pay Range: $19 - $20
