Spanish Long-Term Substitute
Job Summary
Georgetown Preparatory School seeks a Spanish Teacher for the first semester of the 2026-27 academic year. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and experienced teaching all levels, including AP.

Georgetown Preparatory School is an independent, Jesuit, college preparatory, residential and day school located outside Washington, DC. Founded in 1789, the school enrolls 490 students in grades 9-12 with an average class size of 16. The school requires a commitment to its mission and values, and the ability to contribute to the co-curricular program.
Responsibilities
- Teach all levels of Spanish, including AP
- Work as part of a team with other department members
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and willing to teach as a member of the faculty
- Appreciate and have experience with the Jesuit model of education
- Willingness to train and care for the whole student in accordance with the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis
- Be on campus Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience teaching all levels of Spanish, including AP
- A strong understanding of the Jesuit model of education
- An enthusiasm for teaching and a desire to work as part of a team
- An appreciation for the Jesuit philosophy of cura personalis
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Spanish or a related field
- Teaching certification in Spanish or a related field
- Experience teaching at the high school level
- Experience teaching AP Spanish
