Spanish Linguist/Translator

Duties

• Provide Spanish-language simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings and operational coordination
• Provide written translation and review of analytic, operational, and intelligence products
• Interpret support at the General/Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) level
• Operate Sennheiser (or equivalent) interpretation equipment
• Translate technical documents containing military, intelligence, and law enforcement terminology
• Maintain engagement records and translation/interpretation activity logs

Requirements

• This is an onsite Linguist position located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required
• Candidates without a minimum of a Top Secret/SCI clearance will not be considered
• Possess a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or 4 additional years of experience
• At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience
• Possess a minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in both reading and speaking Spanish, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) scale, or equivalent Government-recognized assessment
