Spaceport Designer, Interior Design

Responsibilities

  • Captures project requirements from stakeholders and end users
  • Evaluates project feasibility and performs spatial planning
  • Develops design development documents, presentations, renders, and material pallets
  • Creates drawings, elevations, sections, specifications, and schedules
  • Compiles a database of existing finishes and FF&E specifications
  • Manages procurement and oversees installation of design elements
  • Collaborates with cross-departmental teams to define requirements and derive design details
  • Solves design and construction conflicts in the field
  • Manages project control tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Designs all elements of the project to meet target budgets
  • Takes on new projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in architecture, interior design, or related design discipline
  • 2+ years of experience creating design documents including plans, elevations, specifications, and schedules
  • Experience in designing modern, minimalist, or futuristic spaces
  • Experience in designing physical environments or branding for commercial and hospitality spaces
  • Experience in selecting finishes, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and artwork for industrial and commercial projects
  • Experience designing custom art pieces, including murals, sculptures, or other exhibitions
  • Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, Revu Bluebeam, and/or AutoCAD software
  • Proficiency in rendering software (Photoshop, Lumion, D5, Enscape, or similar)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience

  • Experience in designing physical environments or branding for commercial and hospitality spaces

  • Experience designing custom art pieces, including murals, sculptures or other exhibitions

Additional Requirements

  • Based in Starbase, TX (Brownsville/South Padre Island Area)
  • Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Flexible and comfortable working in a high-stress environment
