About the role

The Space Vehicle Systems Engineer, Lead role combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer environments. You will design, develop, and evolve systems to meet customer needs, ensuring they align with advanced technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead space vehicle systems engineering efforts, translating real-world needs into technical specifications
  • Develop and manage System Architecture, Requirements Management, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Conduct and review space systems, including SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FCA, SVR, MRR, or PCA, and DoD acquisition processes
  • Collaborate with government clients and contractor teammates to deliver a customer-focused engineering solution

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with space vehicle systems engineering, planning, integration, and testing
  • 3+ years of experience with reviews of space systems, including SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FCA, SVR, MRR, or PCA, and the DoD acquisition system
  • Ability to be highly motivated, have a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • 10+ years of experience with space vehicle systems engineering, planning, integration, and testing
  • Experience with computer tools, including Confluence or Jira
  • Experience designing, building, and testing communications antennas, transmitters, or receivers of a payload
  • Knowledge of DoD systems engineering, testing, and production policies and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Skills

  • Strong technical skills in space vehicle systems engineering
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in computer tools and software

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
