The Satellite Payload Systems Engineer, Lead role at Booz Allen involves leading the design, development, and integration of payloads for spaceflight systems. Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous trade studies and define system-level requirements and interfaces
• Identify architecture gaps, risks, and technology opportunities
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and mission domain experts
• Apply deep expertise in satellite payloads, design and test of satellites, and space mission operations
• Architect, model, and assess end-to-end solutions for next-generation space systems
• Contribute to technical white papers, capability demonstrations, and proposals
• Lead systems engineering teams across multiple efforts

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting national security space programs in SIGINT or GEOINT mission areas
• Experience in the design, development, integration, and verification of payloads for spaceflight systems
• Experience with space vehicle design and manufacture practices, payload integration, and proto-flight testing of space vehicle systems
• Experience executing systems engineering processes across the full lifecycle for satellite space systems
• Experience with descriptive modeling tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architecture or MagicDraw
• Experience developing analytical or automation scripts using engineering toolsets such as MATLAB, Python, or VBA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics

Skills

• Experience integrating COTS products into space systems
• Experience developing high-fidelity satellite models and simulations for proliferated constellations
• Experience contributing to Agile and DevSecOps software development pipelines
• Experience architecting and delivering technical solutions within classified Intelligence Community or Department of Defense environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Employees working remotely or in a hybrid or onsite capacity will follow the schedule outlined by their respective locations.
