Space Operations Instructor

Sigmatech is seeking a qualified and experienced Space Operations Instructor to support course delivery and development for Mission Delta 9 at Schriever SFB, CO. This role involves instructing lessons and developing, implementing, validating, and maintaining educational and course materials for assigned topics.

Responsibilities

• Instruct in various space and DoD-related competency areas, including space operations, space command and control (C2), space capabilities, and related topics.
• Qualify and deliver classroom instruction as assigned, consistent with Instructional System Development (ISD) principles to satisfy government course delivery requirements.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain lesson plans and materials within USAF ISD guidelines to meet government educational requirements.
• Interface with internal and external agencies and customers to maintain up-to-date education program materials.
• Assist with additional support requirements such as PEX management, registrar duties, and collecting/implementing feedback into course materials.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver Space Operations-related materials and lessons.
• Coordinate, develop, and maintain Space Operations lessons, adjusting for student experience levels, detail levels, and delivery lengths.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant combined experience in space operations and as an instructor in DoD space-related units.
• Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with DoD, commercial and civil space operations, ground systems, on-orbit systems, links, international capabilities, and threats.
• Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
• Ability to excel in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Pay

In accordance with the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the estimated annual salary for this position is $130,000 – $140,000. Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including experience, education/training, key skills, location, and contractual requirements.
