About the role

Design and deliver a comprehensive Initial Skills Training (IST) course for enlisted Space Force Intel Guardians (5I0 career field) to support the Chief of Space Operations’ directive for technical depth in space intelligence operations. This position involves instruction and upkeep of the Undergraduate Intel Training for US Space Force at Vandenberg AFB.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver initial skills training lectures and guide student projects covering intelligence/analysis fundamentals, orbital mechanics, electromagnetic spectrum fundamentals, blue and red force space/counterspace capabilities.
  • Counsel, guide, lead, and mentor students as assigned.
  • Evaluate student mastery of desired learning outcomes.
  • Assemble student performance data for analysis and submit course completion reports.
  • Develop and update curriculum with a team.
  • Research, write, and review various forms of literature for publication on social media and/or presentation in professional settings.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Must meet CCAF instructor qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s or higher-level degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Space Intel, including Space Intel fundamentals and adversary/counter-adversary space operations.
  • 10 years’ experience in Intel Operations, with recent experience (within the last 2 years).
  • Familiarity with USSF/USAF training standards and ADDIE instructional design process.

Qualifications

  • Desired: 3 years of teaching experience, including Air Force T or K prefix or equivalent from another service (Army, Navy, Marines, Space Force) or teaching certification from a civilian institution.
  • Desired: 3 years of experience in instruction and curriculum/lesson development.
  • Preference given to candidates with Unit Intel and Space Intel Operations experience.

This is an on-site position with an estimated start date of 1 November 2026, dependent on contract modification approval. You will work with a team of high-energy and passionate cyber and training professionals dedicated to “Building Space Force Guardian Professionals.”
