Space Force - Test Lead

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of integration and test engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and direction
• Develop and maintain the test strategy for cloud-based software products
• Architect test solutions that effectively validate system requirements
• Establish best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting
• Leading Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and internal testing assessments with key program stakeholders
• Design comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of product functionality
• Develop automated test scripts using Python 3.9+ following GDMS coding standards
• Implement robust verification and validation methodologies
• Coordinate integration activities between systems and software teams
• Establish integration procedures that ensure smooth component interaction
• Support AGILE implementation
• Create detailed test documentation including test plans, procedures, and reports
• Maintain accurate records of test activities and results
• Ability to develop ROMs in accordance with execution of requirements
• Conduct Performance reviews per process
• Accountable for aligning test execution with program schedule requirements and budget parameters to support on-time, cost-effective delivery

Qualifications

• Brings strong leadership presence with a track record of building high-performing teams and cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Expert knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages, Python
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and methodologies
• Experience with cloud-based integration testing
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors

Skills

• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
• Experience with requirements management and traceability
• Background in defense or aerospace industries

Pay

Target salary range: USD $139,662.00/Yr. - USD $154,938.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.

Schedule

This position is fully on-site. While on-site, you will be a part of the Scottsdale, Arizona facility at GDMS Scottsdale, AZ Campus.
