Space Environments Engineer
Lanteris Space is seeking a Space Environments Engineer located in our Palo Alto, CA offices. This role contributes to the development, production, and test of satellites, applying knowledge of particle radiation, micrometeoroid and orbital debris, atomic oxygen, electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic interference, electrostatic discharge, and charging phenomena.
About the role
This is a summer 2024 intern position with involvement in the design, analysis, and production of satellites. As a Space Environments Engineer, you will work on some or all of the following areas:
- Single event effects analysis
- Data processing
- Total dose analysis
- Displacement damage analysis
- Unit EMC testing
- Magnetic analysis
- Requirements verification
- Venting analysis
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in engineering, physics, or a related discipline, with or currently pursuing a master's degree

Pay
The base pay for this position within California is $77,000.00 - $128,000.00 annually. For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges, and each location may have a different range.
