SPA Optimization Analyst
Main purpose of the job
The SPA Optimization Analyst is responsible for maximizing profitability, utilization, and effectiveness of Special Pricing Agreements (SPAs) through data analysis, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration. This role focuses on identifying margin opportunities, reducing pricing leakage, and driving disciplined pricing execution.
Key Accountabilities
- Analyze SPA utilization and profitability to identify optimization opportunities and underperforming agreements. Identify margin leakage, misaligned pricing, and underperforming SPAs. Recommend pricing, structure, or customer-alignment improvements.
- Partner closely with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, and Vendors to implement SPA optimization initiatives.
- Utilize SPA performance dashboards and reports to track SPA effectiveness and financial impact. Prepare other ad-hoc reporting as requested.
- Support governance by reducing overrides tied to SPA misapplication.
Minimum work experience requirements
- Demonstrated history for delivering positive results in working across functions.
- Prior rebate experience and knowledge of inventory databases are preferred.
- Previous experience with Eclipse ERP system is preferred.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment and an ability to influence without authority.
- Understanding of the electrical wholesaling industry would be a plus, along with strong business financial skills.
Minimum education requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
Other skills/experience desired
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Must be a team player.
- Strong technology and computer skills required, particularly in spreadsheets, databases, Word and Excel.
