Spa - Massage Therapist (Part-Time)
The pay range for this position is $35.00–$74.00 per hour, inclusive of hourly pay rate plus service charge gratuities. This is based on a $11.75 per hour base wage, service commission, and gratuity paid per shift. Historically, this position averages service commission earnings of $10.00–$23.00 per hour and gratuity earnings of $15.00–$40.00 per hour. Commissions and gratuities fluctuate based on events and time of year. The guaranteed minimum wage for this position is $15.16, matching Colorado’s minimum wage.

As a Massage Therapist in the Spa department, you will deliver superior massage, body treatment, and hydrotherapy services to Broadmoor Spa guests and Golf Club members. Responsibilities
- Provide thoughtful, positive, friendly, and professional service to all guests and team members while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Deliver superior massage, body treatment, and hydrotherapy services consistently, following current treatment protocols in a professional manner.
- Contribute to the guest experience by performing services in a timely manner.
- Regularly review and adjust your personal work schedule as needed.
- Ensure all safety, sanitation, and use procedures comply with Department of Regulatory Agencies standards for implements, supplies, and tools.
- Maintain professional draping standards and ethical practices.
- Properly use and maintain all equipment provided.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned work areas while being mindful of budget and product efficiency.
- Keep your Supervisor informed of supply levels and maintenance needs.
- Understand the complete menu of services and related retail products to educate guests and members, and promote all areas of the spa and hotel.
- Respond positively to feedback from guests, management, and fellow massage therapists to support continuous growth.
- Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude regarding schedule changes to enhance guest experience or meet fiscal needs.
- Assist in resolving guest concerns with a focus on short-term and long-term success for the Spa and its patrons.
- Stay updated on current changes in the massage industry and pursue continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain certifications, state-regulated licenses, and personal insurance for massage therapy.
- Fulfill additional daily duties, including but not limited to: folding and stocking linen, opening and closing treatment rooms and the Spa facility, refreshing drink stations, maintaining service expectations and procedures, cleaning, and properly disposing of soiled linen.
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while upholding all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Graduate of an accredited Massage Program and licensed as a Massage Therapist in the State of Colorado, holding required personal insurance for Massage Therapy.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Massage Therapy.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., with a work environment that may include both indoor and outdoor settings.
