Job Summary

The Registered Nurse leads the health care team, providing professional nursing care according to established standards and policies. The role involves demonstrating leadership, maintaining flexibility, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

About the Role

Responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a leader of the health care team, delegating tasks appropriately and holding team members accountable.
• Delegates tasks appropriately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans, ensuring multidisciplinary planning and patient education.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, colleagues, and visitors, adhering to standard precautions and LMP Workplace Safety principles.
• Monitors patient progress and revises care plans as needed based on patient condition and evaluation of outcomes.
• Ensures patient safety, including medication administration, patient falls prevention, decubitus prevention, and infection control.
• Communicates effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers, discussing patient findings and progress toward outcomes.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities, such as planning, measuring/monitoring, assessing, and improving.
• Provides comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of data, assessments, and evaluations of patient outcomes.
• Adheres to attendance policies and reports to assigned area promptly.

Requirements

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in an acute hospital Operating Room or Surgicenter, or successful completion of a KP Operating Room course within the last 12 months.
• Registered Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
