About the role

We're stewards of the waters and ecosystems in our care. With a 50+ year legacy as one of the most trusted names in lake, pond, wetland, and stormwater management, we've helped shape healthier aquatic ecosystems across the Southeast, Mid-South, and Midwest. From small community lakes to major municipal stormwater systems, we blend environmental science, regulatory expertise, and best-in-class service to protect your water — and everything around it.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a two-person installation crew on daily job site operations
  • Install SOX shoreline erosion control systems according to project plans and manufacturer specifications
  • Perform manual labor including lifting, hauling, digging, staking, and material placement in coastal/wetland environments
  • Read and interpret site plans, installation diagrams, and project scopes
  • Ensure work is completed correctly, safely, and on schedule
  • Conduct daily safety briefings (tailgate talks) and enforce jobsite safety protocols
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, small equipment, and possibly UTVs/boats for site access
  • Communicate daily progress, site conditions, and any issues to the Project/Operations Manager
  • Track materials, tools, and equipment needed for each job and ensure proper inventory on site
  • Maintain accurate daily job records (photos, logs, hours, material usage)
  • Travel to job sites throughout FL, GA, SC, and potentially other Southeastern states, including overnight and extended stays as required
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with property owners, engineers, or site contacts

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in construction, landscaping, marine construction, erosion control, or similar outdoor field labor — with at least some crew lead/foreman experience
  • Comfortable working in coastal/wetland terrain (mud, sand, marsh grass, shallow water)
  • Experience leading or supervising a small crew (2+ people) preferred
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to self-manage on remote job sites with minimal oversight
  • Basic understanding of site plans/blueprints, or willingness to learn
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for towing equipment/trailers and extensive travel)
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Southeast, including overnight stays away from home
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable reporting progress and issues to management
  • OSHA 10/30 certification a plus, but not required (training can be provided)
  • Experience with shoreline stabilization, erosion control, marine construction, or environmental restoration is a strong plus
  • Spanish speaking a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in water/mud/uneven terrain for extended periods
  • Comfortable working full days outdoors in Southeastern heat, humidity, sun, and occasional rain
  • Ability to travel by vehicle for extended distances and remain on-site for multi-day assignments
