Southeast Emulsions (SEE) owns and operates bulk storage liquid asphalt terminals throughout the Southeast United States. These terminals supply products to the asphalt paving industry. Main Responsibilities

• Unloading rail cars
• Loading and unloading bulk liquid trailers
• Basic maintenance activities
• Certain manufacturing activities
• Upkeep of operational documents
• Promoting a safe work environment by adhering to Colas safe work practices and watching out for fellow employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma (optional)
• Mechanical experience: welding, pipe fitting and other mechanical experience (preferred)
• Commitment to being on time (required)
• Early morning shifts; 4:00am (occasionally)
• Basic computer skills (required)

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand for long periods of time and walk on even and uneven surfaces
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel
• Reach with hands and arms
• Talk and crouch
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Close vision acuity, distance vision, color vision and normal depth perception

Work Environment

• Regulated exposure to hazardous materials (hot liquid asphalt) and chemicals
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles
• Requires regular overtime including working weekends and holidays, and rotating work shifts to provide continuous coverage for customer delivery/pickup
