South Whidbey Record General Assignment Reporter (Whidbey, WA)
About the role
Sound Publishing Inc. is seeking a general assignment reporter to write for the South Whidbey Record, based out of Whidbey Island. The schedule may require evening and/or weekend work.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a team player willing to get involved in the local community through the publication of the twice-weekly newspaper and web journalism. The right candidate will have a commitment to community journalism; be able to spot emerging issues and trends; write clean, balanced and accurate stories that dig deeper than simple features.
Requirements
Candidates must have a degree in journalism or related experience. Must be proficient with AP style and have a good eye for photography.

Pay
Starting Wage: $19.50-$22/hr, DOE
